Lancaster Marionette Theatre Goes Green

Kermit the frog said it best, “It’s Not Easy Being Green.”  When master electrician and all around good guy, Steve Daniels paid a visit to the theatre, the first thing he said was, “You need to use LEDs!”  Since his visit, it has been our goal to convert over to all LEDs and investigate other ways to become “green”. Help us make this transition possible.  Your donations will go towards LED lighting, for theatre, gift shop, museum, workshop and stage lighting.  Using LEDs saves on electricity and creates less heat which conserves AC in summer.  Be a Friend! and Donate.

Your gift will provide free tickets for kindergarten students to come to a performance at the Lancaster Marionette Theatre. For the past fifteen years, we have been hosting children from Lancaster elementary schools, child care centers, Head Start, Big Brothers and Sisters, and the summer migrant education program. Won’t you join us in this important program. How generous can you afford to be? A gift of $250.00 will bring a class to the theatre. If that’s not in your budget, a $10.00 contribution will provide admission for one child.

The response from teachers is most encouraging: “As an educator, I believe it is very important to expose children to all forms of the arts. In these times of economic hardship, the generosity that has been expended, enabling my students to attend the show, prove to be quite remarkable.” The children send us thank you notes as well, including their very own art work.

The Board of Directors of the Lancaster Marionette Theatre believe that this project is important in our mission to provide wholesome entertainment to children. Won’t you join us in making this possible. Be a Friend! and Donate.
